STudent handbook

⤷ 001 : it is mandatory to subscribe to the main thread to keep up with important updates. upvotes are appreciated.

⤷ 002 : this is a semi-literate, au roleplay and mature/taboo writing themes are allowed. as such, only roleplayers (ooc), face claims (ic) aged 18 and above will be accepted.

⤷ 003 : only celebrities from the korean industry that meet the aforementioned criteria are accepted. instagram influencers/deceased/celebrities in the middle of lawsuit/convicted celebrities/persons who have expressed that they do not want to be roleplayed are not accepted.

⤷ 004 : racebending/white washing of your faceclaim is prohibited, this is to ensure that the poc faceclaims are respected and treated fairly, without editing/erasing their race in character.

⤷ 005 : as we are a closed roleplay, your roleplay account should be set in private and cannot be used to interact with other alternate universe of in the muggle world. once caught violating the rule, you will be automatically banned in the hallows' emporium universe.

⤷ 006 : double accounting is not accepted. (strikes will be issued if necessary)

⤷ 007 : no godmodding or metagaming in any circumstances, (strikes will be issued if necessary). a. this means, no writer is allowed to control or assume the actions/thoughts of another character/partner without permission. b. please limit your writing to controlling the thoughts/reactions/responses/actions of your character only.

⤷ 008 : ooc drama and/or mixing of ic and ooc is prohibited. we ask that you settle your issues yourselves in direct message first, and if it does not work, do create a group chat with the admins. ic drama is welcome but please do limit it as we don't want the atmosphere of the place to be distressed because of it. (strikes will be issued if necessary).

⤷ 009 : inactivity for 1 week will lead to kick out. you are welcome to return but your account will be in strict observation in terms of consistency of posting and interaction with other members.

⤷ 010 : we understand that the life outside of hallows' emporium continues and if you will be busy or plan to be in hiatus, please message the admins and notify your peers by sharing a story.

⤷ 011 : communication is key. be respectful and welcoming, we ask that you do your best to approach persons outside your circle. we do not want members feeling left behind and not enjoying the exclusivity of hallows' emporium universe.

⤷ 012 : the primary language of use is english. while we do not limit the usage of other languages in your personal ooc chats, we ask you to keep them to a minimum in group settings. please be considerate of other members. the thing that you've been looking for would be what is the spell that your character learned to use first

⤷ 013 : all members are entitled two (2) face change or character change per month. the member who's trying to change their identity would have to brew a polyjuice potion first before the change would be permanent. additional details about the juice would be provided below.

⤷ 014 : any form of discrimination, or derogatory words against members is prohibited. in hallows' emporium, we aim to make meaningful connections and relationships not ones based in aesthetics alone.

⤷ 015 : blocking or unfollowing a member/admin account is prohibited, even as a joke. please find other forms of entertainment. (strikes will be issued if necessary)

⤷ 016 : if at any point you decide to leave the roleplay, please do notify us and unfollow all hallows' emporium members. failure to do so will be automatically blacklisted.

Chamber of reception

⤷ house, year :
applicants may choose their own houses and year (starting from 4th year to 7th year) Just watch out for temporary house locked downs - in order for all houses to have equally distributed students, we will close some of them temporarily once they've reached a certain number.

⤷ bloodline, age, hair color :
you may choose to be part-veela, pure blood or muggle and you may adjust your faceclaim's age depending on your ic's personality! just make sure your face claim matches the age you picked (you can't have a 87 liner idol being 18 years old!) for the hair color, you may only pick ONE color at a time. this is for character and visual reference consistency!

⤷ polyjuice potion :
in order for you to permanently change into someone new, you need to brew a polyjuice potion. polyjuice potion requires a good deal of preparation and in this case, you'll need three things:

one - headmaster's consent (dm the base for an application)
two - pieces of the person you want to become (can be a hair strand, tooth, etc, be creative!)
three - a person who'll help you brew it! (preferably one of the admins or prefects but your favorite person would do!)

take note! the potion effects and results would depend on how well the potion has been brewed! don't worry, you have one week to try your best to experiment on it. failure to do so may result in you having to transform into an animal, and the effect may last anywhere from ten to twelve hours.

(we decided that character change would be fun if we are in character too! depending on the result, your new face claim may have a wild hair color or just plain black like you want it - it all depends on your potion brewer, really)


⤷ earning house points :
a student may earn a minimum of 5 points and a maximum of 50 points for their house per day. this will be possible by doing a good deed, participating in classes and doing your homework diligently. the points can also be taken away for rule-breaking! at the end of the month, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup and students from the awarded house may earn a special key/spell that could be used as an advantage for the next term.

⤷ academics :
as of the moment, we have four core subjects: charms, potions, defense against the dark arts, potions, transfiguration. additional subjects would be available once the school had reached a milestone.*

» house prefects are chosen students from each house who has been given extra authorities and responsibilities by the headmaster. prefects are allowed to take house points away from houses but they are not allowed to take points from other prefects. they can give detention as form of punishment and they often patrol the hallways to ensure no one is breaking any rule.
